2nd robbery attempt of Hope Holiday Inn Express fails, suspect still at large | Crime

HOPE, AR (KSLA) - Hope, Arkansas Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a local hotel that was robbed approximately a week ago.
Around 11:30 p.m. police were called to the Holiday Inn Express, located at 2600 N. Hervey in Hope.
Upon arrival officers say the clerk on duty reported seeing a slender built black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt standing in the outer lobby reaching for the door to come into the inner lobby. The clerk noticed the subject had his hood up and a red bandana wrapped around his face. The suspect had what appeared to be a small handgun.
The clerk reportedly left the lobby area and called the police. A thorough search of the property was executed, but the suspect was not found.
Thursday, Oct. 6th, around 10 p.m. Hope Police were called to the hotel on an aggravated robbery. The desk clerk told police then that a small-built male wearing bright blue shorts, a grey hoodie and a red bandana over his face entered the hotel and demanded money. The suspect was allegedly armed with a handgun.
